About
Chike is an academic lawyer with extensive experience in corporate and financial law. He holds law degrees from the University of Aberdeen (PhD), the University of Glasgow (LLM), the Nigerian Law School (BL), and Madonna University Okija (LLB Hons). He is a Lecturer in Law at the University of Aberdeen, where he teaches and researches a range of subjects in corporate and financial law.
His book, The Transfer of Rights in Securitisations: A Law and Economics Analysis (2024), offers a comprehensive doctrinal and policy analysis of how assignment laws in England, France, and Scotland facilitate the transfer of money claims and related security rights in securitisations. Chike qualified as a barrister and solicitor in Nigeria in 2012 and has advised on multiple commercial transactions since then, including a leading tripartite mini-grid agreement, a receivables finance agreement, and a syndicated loan agreement. He is prized for the analytical and persuasive nature of his work, which he consistently applies to add value to teaching and research.
